Crokinole scoring
A crokinole disc in the centre hole scores 20, the ring around it 15, the next ring outside the pegs 10, and the outer ring 5. A disc touching a line scores the lower value. After all discs are shot, each side adds up its points, and in tournament scoring the higher total wins the round and 2 match points.

In crokinole, the centre hole scores 20, the inner ring 15, the middle ring 10 and the outer ring 5.
| Where the disc rests | Points |
|---|---|
| Completely in the centre hole | 20 |
| Inner ring (inside the pegs' line) | 15 |
| Middle ring (outside the pegs) | 10 |
| Outer ring | 5 |
| In the ditch, off the board, or on the outer line | 0 (out of play) |
What happens when a disc touches a line?
A disc that touches a scoring line scores the lower of the two values it touches. A disc lying across the line between the 15 ring and the 10 ring is worth 10. The line has a small width, so to score the higher ring a disc must sit clear of the line. In Crokinole Club, a disc exactly tangent to a line scores the lower value and a disc 0.5 mm clear scores the higher one.
How is a 20 scored?
A disc must be completely in the hole and lying flat. It is taken off the board and its 20 is kept aside for the end of the round. A disc resting on the lip of the hole scores 15 and stays on the board; Crokinole Club puts such a disc flat against the edge of the hole so it is never left tilted across the lip.
How is a round scored?
When every disc has been shot, each side adds up its discs and its banked 20s. Crokinole Club shows two ways to turn a round into match points.
- Tournament scoring: the higher round total wins 2 match points; a tie gives each side 1. The four-round Match uses this.
- Point-difference scoring: the round winner banks the difference between the two totals. Quick duels (one round) and the career Season (two rounds) use this.
A worked example
Blue ends a round with one disc in the hole, two in the 15 ring and one in the 10 ring: 20 + 15 + 15 + 10 = 60. Amber has one disc in the 15 ring, two in the 10 ring and three in the 5 ring: 15 + 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 50.
- Tournament scoring: Blue wins the round and takes 2 match points. Amber takes 0.
- Point-difference scoring: Blue banks 60 - 50 = 10 points.
- If both had scored 50, tournament scoring would give each side 1 match point and point-difference scoring would give nobody anything.
How do stars work in Crokinole Club's career?
The career has 15 levels in five chapters, and each level has up to three stars: one for winning, plus two goals such as banking a 20, knocking off rival discs or winning by a margin. All 45 career stars are counted on the career map. Season 2 adds eight harder challenges with their own stars after level 15.
